Job summary

Leigh Academy Hundred of Hoo, part of Leigh Academies Trust, seeks a dynamic Lead Practitioner - Science to lead an ambitious Science department from January 2027. You will shape the curriculum, drive teaching excellence and inspire a team of practitioners within a thriving all-through academy.

In this role you will collaborate across phases to strengthen the maths provision, and you will have access to bespoke CPD, leadership pathways and a supportive, high-expectation community.

• Experience leading a science department and driving teaching excellence.
• Ability to collaborate across all phases to strengthen STEM provision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Science department to deliver ambitious curriculum and high standards of teaching and learning.
