Lead Practitioner of English (Secondary) - Leadership Scale (Surrey Fringe): LP5 - LP10 (£58,860 - £66,444). Full time (60% classroom teaching commitment) | 4 days a week considered. Based across two secondary schools in Surrey.
About the Role
- Lead on the development of high-quality teaching and learning in English across KS3 and KS4.
- Drive curriculum innovation and refinement across the subject area.
- Support, coach and mentor colleagues to improve classroom practice.
- Play a key role in whole-school and cross-Trust teaching and learning initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning and professional development programmes.
- 60% teaching timetable (maximum 0.6 FTE) - with scope to work across both secondary schools.
- Leadership scale salary with Trust-wide impact and influence.
About you
- A consistently outstanding classroom teacher of English.
- Experienced in delivering strong outcomes at KS3 and KS4.
- Skilled in curriculum development and assessment design.
- Able to inspire, motivate and develop others through coaching and collaboration.
- Passionate about educational excellence and improving life chances for young people.
- Committed to continuous professional growth and reflective practice.
