Job summary

Job description
Summary
  • To ensure effective leadership within the Birth to three unit / Pre School Room.
  • To always operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • To support the Executive Lead and cover in the role of their absence.
  • To support the Executive Lead in working toward the whole company Vision, Mission and Values.
Responsibilities
  • To comply with legal requirements and Rosy Apple Childcare Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure staff within your base room follow and adhere to Policies and Procedures.
  • Take part in continuous professional development.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • Responsible for SEND within base room, including identifying support needed, and actioning.
  • Monitor children’s progress within the base room.
  • Ensure quality educational programmes are followed.
  • Lead the base room in providing high standards of provision for children.
  • Engage in positive leadership, promoting and supporting staff welfare.
  • Support the executive lead in safeguarding children, families and staff within the setting.
  • Positive partnership working with parents and external agencies.
  • Work in line with statutory framework including legal requirements.

Lead Practitioner – Little Achievers Nurseries

Job Title: Lead Practitioner

Experience
  • Essential: 1 year’s experience in a leadership role within the early years sector.
  • Essential: History of a successful career in Early Years.
  • Essential: Previous experience with fee collection and administrative duties linked to nursery IT systems.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Level 3 or above in Early Years Education and Childcare, or other relevant qualification.
  • Essential: Leadership and Management Level 3 qualification or working towards / willing to enrol onto within 3 months of starting role.
  • Desirable: Degree Level Early Years Qualification.
Training
  • Essential: Evidence of engagement in Continuous Professional Development.
  • Desirable: Mandatory training completed including First Aid, Safeguarding Level 1, 2 and 3, FGM, Radicalisation, Child Sexual Exploitation, Online Safety, Faith Based Abuse Witchcraft, EHA, Manual Handling, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene.
  • Essential: Level 3 SEND.
