Job summary

Sirona care & health is seeking a Podiatry Diabetes and Vascular Clinical Pathway Lead to shape diabetes/vascular podiatry pathways across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, collaborating with secondary and primary care and social care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Podiatric Medicine
• Certificate in Local Anaesthesia
• Post graduate Masters level training in diabetes/vascular or wound care
• Evidence of working towards Masters/Level 7
• Clinical supervisor experience
• Non-medical prescriber or willingness to undertake qualification
• Leadership/management training completed or in progress

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for complex podiatric needs
• Work autonomously and as part of a wider MDT across community settings
• Support improvement of clinical pathways including High-risk foot care and Complex Wound Care
• Act as a source of expert advice and clinical leadership
• Supervise and mentor podiatry staff, apprentices and colleagues
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and audits
• Collaborate with system partners to ensure equitable care across BNSSG
