Job summary

Dex is seeking a senior platform/infrastructure/DevOps engineer to own and operate a scalable Azure footprint. You will manage AKS, Terraform modules, and Dockerised services, while shaping CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.

The role demands end-to-end observability, on-call readiness, and governance for regulated environments, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 prep. You’ll drive cost efficiency and architectural guardrails at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Experience designing Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines.
• End-to-end observability ownership including incident practice.
• Comfort with cloud networking (VPCs, VPNs, DNS, load balancers) and provisioning production databases.
• Strong Python or Bash for automation.

The role

You'll lead the platform underneath it all: architecting and operating their Azure footprint across AKS, Terraform-managed cloud resources, Dockerised services, and the CI/CD pipelines. This isn't just a hands-on role; you'll set the technical direction and guardrails for a 150+ person company selling into regulated institutions. Expect to own cloud cost, prepare for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, and enable product engineers to ship at pace without weakening enterprise-grade controls.

The work

• Architecting and operating a complex Azure footprint, including AKS, Terraform, and Dockerised services.
• Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions equivalent) that ship backend, frontend, and data, with a focus on developer experience.
• Setting technical direction and guardrails for infrastructure, including Terraform modules, pipeline patterns, and observability practices.
• Owning end-to-end observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, on-call) and driving incident response.
• Preparing the entire cloud estate for rigorous SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, and managing cloud cost at scale.

What You Bring

• 7+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps, including a period where you set technical direction.
• Experience designing Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines that other engineers build on.
• End-to-end ownership of observability, including incident practice.
