We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated lead medicines management pharmacy technician. This is a maternity leave cover working alongside an existing Lead Pharmacy Technician within cardiac and respiratory services.
The post holder will be working closely with the clinical pharmacy team, the pharmacy dispensary and ward multi-disciplinary teams within cardiac and respiratory services at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
You will be a team player and keen to continue to improve quality standards within the department and will be responsible for safe and cost-effective provision of medication. The post holder will manage the ward-based team of Pharmacy Technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy assistants whilst supporting the clinical lead pharmacists with day to day service provision.
You will be fully supported in your role to fulfil your potential in leadership, management and quality improvement processes.
To promote the responsible, safe and cost-effective provision of medication within our service including the dedicated ward based dispensaries. The post holder will manage our ward based
team of Pharmacy Technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy assistants. They will be responsible for providing a patient facing, pharmacy service to cardiac and respiratory patients for our inpatient wards and organising the operational flow of the
service on a day to day basis. The post holder will be an active member of the Site Operational Team (SOT).
