Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board invites applications for a PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine Advanced Practitioner (Band 8a) based at Singleton Hospital, Swansea. The post offers leadership across NM and PET-CT with a focus on implementing a new static PET-CT service to support cancer pathways.

The successful candidate will be an HCPC registered radiographer or a Clinical Technologist (RCT) with extensive NM/PET-CT experience and a proven record in advanced practice, governance and staff

Qualifications

• Masters level qualification encompassing Advanced Practice
• HCPC registration or RCT registration is required
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development portfolio
• Leadership and management qualification or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications relevant to imaging
• Formal training in non-medical image interpretation/reporting

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical practice and operational leadership across PET-CT and NM
• Oversee safe patient pathways and coordinate service activity and staffing
• Lead staff supervision, training and competency assessment
• Develop and implement the static PET-CT service within the department
• Ensure clinical governance, quality assurance and radiation safety compliance
• Contribute to research, audit and service improvement initiatives
