Job summary

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is seeking a Chief Clinical Technologist/Radiographer for PET CT to lead the Nuclear Medicine PET CT service across Royal Victoria Hospital and Belfast City Hospital. The post involves line management of staff, planning workloads, and ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and radiopharmaceutical procedures.

Applicants should have a Diploma or degree in radiography/nuclear medicine, HCPC registration, and substantial Nuclear Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ relevant Nuclear Medicine experience at Band 6 or above.
• Eligibility for HCPC registration as a radiographer or clinical technologist.
• Registration or eligibility to register with the appropriate governing body.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PET CT service for BHSCT in RVH and BCH.
• Line-manage staff in the Radioisotope Service.
• Plan PET CT workload and maximise resource use.
• Maintain patient administration and booking system across RVH/BCH.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and quality management systems.
• Support research and development programs in the department.
