Job summary

DWF is seeking an experienced Litigator to join as Lead Paralegal in Liverpool. You’ll manage a caseload of defendant motor Credit Hire claims and deliver high-quality legal services to insurer clients, progressing files efficiently and drafting key documents.

This role is hybrid with Liverpool office attendance two days per week (Mon and Tue). You will work with colleagues, clients and third parties to achieve effective case outcomes and develop your career within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling and/or assisting on a caseload including Credit Hire or Motor claims.
• Strong litigation knowledge and confidence with Part 7 and Part 8 proceedings.
• Excellent organisational skills to support a varied caseload.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client and colleague relationships.
• Proactive approach with keen attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of defendant Credit Hire claims and assist fee earners.
• Conduct legal research and draft defences, witness statements, and settlements.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties to progress cases.
• Support senior fee earners and help meet team targets.
• Ensure compliance with DWF standards and regulatory requirements.
