Job summary

A leading children's hospital in Greater London is seeking a Consultant in Paediatric Otolaryngology to support the delivery of a tertiary level paediatric ENT service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Paediatric ENT and a fellowship in the field. Responsibilities include outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, and developing research. A commitment to diversity and inclusion is vital. Salary ranges from £109,725 to £145,478 pro rata annually.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Paediatric ENT including a Paediatric ENT Fellowship.
  • Awareness of the importance of Clinical Governance.
  • Experience of leading in Clinical Audit processes.
  • Experience of research in ENT.
  • Experience of working in shared care clinics and clinical networks.
  • Experience of teaching students and multidisciplinary team working.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a paediatric ENT Surgery Service at tertiary level.
  • Work flexibly with colleagues to achieve planned activity.
  • Participate in audit and contribute to clinical protocols.
  • Conduct outpatient clinics and research clinics.

Skills

High level written and oral communication skills
Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary environment
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
Ability to work on own initiative within an ever-changing environment

Education

GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice
FRCS or equivalent
CCT/CCST in Otolaryngology or equivalent training
Formal teaching qualification
