Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Lead Paediatric Dietitian to oversee paediatric nutrition and dietetic services. The role includes providing expert dietary advice for complex paediatric cases, leading on service development and digital transformation initiatives within the Nutrition and Dietetic team.

Responsibilities

To manage a caseload of patients using evidence-based/client centred principles for a range of complex physical and psychological conditions.
To provide line management and clinical supervision to Junior Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants.
To be an expert advisor in the nutritional care of patients admitted to hospital.
To take an active part in the training of student dietitians, all levels of healthcare professionals and medical staff on nutrition and therapeutic diets for patients with a range of complex physical and psychological conditions.
To lead on risk assessment and management within the department.
To maintain team working with other Band 7 Dietitians in the general day to day management of the department.
