Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking an optometrist to lead clinics and deliver outstanding patient care using the latest testing technology. You will triage, mentor colleagues on the shop floor and collaborate with external healthcare professionals to uphold clinical excellence.

We value compassion, strong communication, and teamwork. GOC registration (or expected) and NHS performer number are expected as you grow within our Boots Opticians network.

Qualifications

GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months).
NHS performer number (or working towards it).
Excellent communication and organisation skills.
Genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration.
Experience supporting enhanced services.
Strong understanding of local clinical networks.

Responsibilities

Lead clinics and deliver outstanding patient care.
Use the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice.
Provide enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs.
Offer clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor.
Collaborate with external healthcare professionals.
Keep your clinical knowledge up to date and share it with others.
Play a key role in the store's leadership team during shifts.
