Qualifications

  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Specialist knowledge of assessments and interventions for neurologically impaired clients.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments in neurology and rehabilitation.

We are currently looking for an experienced As a Lead Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in London, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role :

As a Lead Occupational Therapist, you will coordinate the daily operational activities of the Occupational Therapy department on the acute neurorehabilitation unit.

Your main responsibilities as a Lead Occupational Therapist :
  • Work closely with the AHP Manager and other therapy leads to establish and promote the delivery of high-quality treatment
  • Manage a defined clinical case load and provide high quality treatment to patients, within the context of an Interdisciplinary rehabilitation team within both an inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Provide clinical support to junior staff including Senior 1 and Senior 2 Occupational Therapists and Therapy assistants on the rehabilitation unit
What we are looking for in a Lead Occupational Therapist :
  • Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registered member of Health Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Specialist knowledge and application of OT assessments and interventions relevant to a neurologically impaired client group
  • Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Maintenance of up to date knowledge re developments in the field of neurology and rehabilitation as pertaining to your field of work
  • Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy
