Job summary

Monkey Puzzle Guildford is seeking a Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) to lead a busy room and support the team, ensuring high-quality early years provision in line with EYFS.

You will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, have safeguarding knowledge, and at least two years’ experience in an EY setting. The role offers a competitive salary and a supportive, welcoming nursery environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Safeguarding Knowledge.
• At least 2 years' experience working as a nursery practitioner or similar in an Early Years setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting your team to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
• Engaging your team to create inspirational, creative and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
• Team working and contributing to a happy, family-feel environment for staff and children.
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through safeguarding processes and procedures.
• Implementation of the EYFS with understanding of child development.
• Reporting issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
• Partnership working with parents and our partners to help children thrive.
• Maintaining clear and accurate record keeping and report writing.
