Job summary

NHS Forth Valley invites applications for a highly motivated nurse to take a significant leadership role across three prison healthcare teams in Falkirk and surrounding facilities. You will drive clinical governance, workforce planning, and patient-centred care in partnership with NHS partners and Scottish Prison Service colleagues.

The post requires 1st Level registration, extensive management experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1st Level nursing registration with significant management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills in prison healthcare.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.
• Willingness to travel across the service area.

Responsibilities

• Lead prison healthcare teams across three sites.
• Oversee palliative/end of life care, chronic illnesses, mental health and substance use.
• Implement service development and quality improvement.
• Support staff development with the Prison Healthcare Lead.
