A forward-looking GP practice in London is seeking an experienced Lead Nurse to provide clinical leadership and manage the nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a Registered General Nurse qualification, significant experience in primary care nursing, and a passion for service development. You will oversee clinics and ensure high-quality care, while supporting a team-focused environment. This role offers full-time hours and an opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care.
Hours:Full-time, core hours 08:0018:30 essential. Ideally able to cover 12 late evenings per week, allowing some flexibility in core hours.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Nurse to provide clinical leadership, management, and service development across primary care. You will lead our nursing team in long-term conditions (LTCs), acute care, immunisations, and health promotion, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care while supporting practice and PCN targets.

Conveniently located near tube stations and public transport, we operate as a total triage practice, delivering accessible, patient-centred care. Leadership & Team Management
Provide clinical leadership and management across the nursing team.
Mentor, appraise, and develop nurses and HCAs.
Advise on staffing rotas, chair meetings, and promote a supportive, learning-focused culture.
Clinical Delivery
Oversee long-term condition (LTC) clinics, immunisations, acute care, wound management, contraception, cytology, and minor procedures.
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
Governance & Quality
Implement and monitor compliance with clinical governance, NICE/NSF guidelines, and infection control standards.
Conduct audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Administration & Training
Maintain accurate clinical records (SNOMED) and manage CPD, appraisals, and staff revalidation.
Deliver staff training and support ongoing professional development.
Identify opportunities to expand services and improve patient care.
