Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a senior Acoustics & Vibrations engineer to lead noise and vibration assignments across UK and international transport projects. You will manage technical interfaces, perform design reviews and coordinate with clients and internal teams within a hybrid work environment.

The role requires demonstrable experience in rail or highway noise and vibration, strong leadership, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through complex studies, modelling, and tender

Qualifications

• Demonstrable Noise and Vibration experience, ideally within Rail, Highways or similar projects.
• Experience in supporting infrastructure projects with Noise and Vibration.
• Ability to work autonomously in a demanding and complex environment, involving international clients, multi-site production, and numerous stakeholders and technical interfaces.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Sound judgment, team spirit, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead A&V assignments on major UK and international projects.
• Coordinate with remote production sites and A&V teams.
• Perform airborne and groundborne noise and vibration impact assessments.
• Design acoustic aspects of stations, complex buildings, tunnels and related facilities.
• Manage client relationships and project interfaces with MEP leads.
• Contribute to tender responses, cost estimation and delivery.
• Recruitment and supervision planning for future UK A&V team members.
