Job summary

Nelft NHS Foundation Trust in Romford, London, is advertising a substantive, full-time post for a Consultant Paediatrician in the BHR Neurodevelopmental service. The role is based at The Acorn Centre, Romford, with flexible working options.

The appointee will lead clinical and operational work, supervise junior staff, participate in teaching, and contribute to service development across the Northeast London community paediatric team. GMC registration is required, MRCPCH or equivalent essential.

Qualifications

• MRCPCH by examination or equivalent is essential.
• Full GMC registration is essential.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview.
• CCT/CCST or equivalent accreditation in Community Paediatrics or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise own and others’ workload in the day-to-day allocation of work.
• Supervise junior colleagues including provision of teaching and training.
• Contribute to development, evaluation and research within the Neurodevelopmental service.
• Provide and maintain high quality, accessible, timely, efficient, and specialist Neurodevelopmental care for children and young people.
• Manage waiting lists within the Neurodevelopmental pathway and prioritise resources.

Education

MRCPCH by examination or equivalent

Full GMC registration
