Job summary

Thrive-Group is recruiting for a Lead Multi-Skilled Assembly Engineer near Chippenham. You will lead assembly of precision products, coordinate jobs and drive process improvements across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with experience in heavy engineering, hydraulics and electrical wiring, keen on detail and able to read engineering drawings. This is a full-time site-based position.

Qualifications

• Experience within a heavy engineering environment essential.
• Extensive hydraulics and diagnostic experience (large part of the role).
• Electrical ability including 12/24v.
• A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems and plan ahead.
• Ability to read and reverse engineer production plans.
• Attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of a range of products ensuring they are built to high standards of precision and quality.
• Leading the coordination of jobs and process improvements.
• Assembly and integration of complex systems including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings, wiring schedules, schematics, hydraulic circuit diagrams and work instructions.
• Installation of hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, actuators and fittings.
• Electrical wiring, cable routing, termination and test of control panels and sensors.
• Testing of assembled systems, identifying and rectifying faults where necessary.
