NearTech Search seeks a Lead Mobile Software Engineer to own the mobile engineering stack for a global, remote‑first venture in health wearables. You’ll build cross‑platform apps with Flutter/Dart, integrate BLE/NFC hardware, and connect to Firebase backend services.

This role blends hands‑on coding with strategic technical leadership, guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and advising non‑technical founders to balance speed with architectural elegance in an agile startup.

Qualifications

Experience building cross‑platform mobile apps with Flutter/Dart.
Hands‑on BLE/NFC hardware integration experience.
Strong background with Firebase or modern cloud backends.
Proven pragmatic technical leadership and mentorship.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

Drive mobile architecture, technical roadmap, and hands‑on development of cross‑platform apps using Flutter/Dart.
Design robust interfaces and hardware integration with BLE/NFC hardware.
Oversee cloud backends and APIs via Firebase and related services.
Champion AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality.
Set engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and guide junior/peer developers.
Advise product leadership on technical trade-offs balancing speed and architecture.
