Forvis Mazars UK is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager (SN2) to lead audits for mid‑market and privately owned businesses. You will supervise junior staff, manage client communications, and ensure timely, high‑quality audit deliverables.

The role requires ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and the Companies Act. You’ll work within collaborative teams to grow client relationships and deliver value.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience leading audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.
• Proven ability to manage junior staff and allocate/delegate tasks.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and Companies Act.
• Proficient in audit software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audits from planning through to completion.
• Develop audit strategies and scoping plans with timely delivery.
• Apply technical knowledge to audits and escalate complex matters.
• Draft audit opinion summaries and client reporting packs.
• Mentor and coach junior staff on engagements.
• Maintain quality and regulatory compliance on all files.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify value opportunities.
