Qualifications
- BSc Optometry/Orthoptics/Nursing required or equivalent
- MSc/Level 7 post‑graduate qualification in Optometry/Orthoptics/Ophthalmic Care preferred
- Teaching qualification desirable
- Leadership or management qualification desirable
- Postgraduate certificate in Independent Prescribing desirable
Responsibilities
- Lead the Medical Retina Service as non‑medical service lead within the Diagnostic Hub.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, audits and teaching activities.
- Collaborate with Ophthalmology leads and Heads of Orthoptics and Optometry to manage HR issues and service policies.
- Provide expert opinion in a specialist area and support sub‑specialities as needed.
