A healthcare organization in Warwick is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to assist patients, manage daily department activities, and supervise medical assistants. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, a Medical Assistant Degree/Certificate, and 2-5 years of experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and communication skills are essential. This role also involves training staff and supporting computer applications.
The Care New England Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with patients, book appointments, take vital signs, prepare rooms, filing, faxing, take EKG’s, answer phones, and assisting the Practice Manager with the management of the department.
Incumbent would provide backup responsibility for Practice Manager functions including training, workflow prioritization, overseeing daily department activities and user support for computer applications.
