Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee pipework and mechanical services at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will supervise daily installation activities, coordinate craft personnel, and ensure works meet the programme while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with diverse pipe materials, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades on site. You will review drawings, conduct site surveys, support handover, and promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mechanical pipework installation and supervision.
• Strong background in pipefitting and industrial pipework.
• Experience with carbon steel, ductile iron, concrete-lined pipework, and stainless steel.
• Experience with freshwater and general service pipework systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day mechanical installation activities.
• Manage mechanical craft personnel and apprentices.
• Plan and allocate daily work in line with the project programme.
• Oversee installation, modification and removal of mechanical pipework and containment.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil and other site activities.
• Review drawings, specifications and isometrics to ensure correct installation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure RAMS and permits compliance.
• Lead toolbox talks and pre-start briefings.
