Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is supporting the MoD on a Devonport-based Major Infrastructure Projects programme. This 12 Month Contract covers defuel tooling and mechanical handling work for submarine and warship support, with hybrid working and a monthly on-site presence.

The role requires experience in mechanical handling systems, design justification, and thorough documentation/QA. A Mechanical Engineering degree is required; Chartered status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Chartered status preferred.
• Experience with mechanical handling systems, preferably nuclear.
• Knowledge of design, safety, and QA procedures; good documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical handling and defuel tooling activities to scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Update design documentation to as-built status.
• Maintain quality management and record-keeping per MBS/Technical Manual.
• Communicate risk assessments and hazards to the team.
