Job summary

A reputable manufacturer in the Liverpool City Region is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical department. This role encompasses design responsibilities for metal enclosures and assemblies, requiring extensive experience with SolidWorks. The successful candidate will also train and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A competitive salary package of up to £60,000, a discretionary bonus, and 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays are part of the offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer role.
• Experience with sheet metal, metal enclosures, and assembly design.
• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of metal enclosures and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create and review 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on SolidWorks best practices.
