Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Manager for a major pharmaceutical project near Cardiff, Wales. Lead commissioning across ~45 systems, coordinating with package managers, subcontractors and stakeholders through to handover.

The role focuses on planning, testing, turnover and ensuring safety and compliance on a GMP-regulated site. Start ASAP on a 6-month contract with a competitive rate.

Qualifications

• Senior commissioning professional with mechanical/MEP experience.
• Experience in GMP-regulated/pharma environments is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and subcontractor coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commissioning activities across approximately 45 mechanical and utility systems.
• Develop and manage commissioning programmes, schedules and testing activities.
• Coordinate package managers, subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
• Oversee flushing, pressure testing, cleaning, mechanical completion and commissioning activities.
• Manage commissioning documentation, procedures, test packs and handover records.
• Chair commissioning meetings and provide progress updates to project leadership.
• Drive systems through turnover and final client handover.
• Ensure commissioning activities are completed safely, compliantly and to programme.
• Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager, Mechanical Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Lead or similar.
