Job summary

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking an Advanced Mammographer to join the Breast Unit at Wycombe General Hospital in Buckinghamshire. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, biopsies, VAB, VAE and lesion localisation under imaging guidance.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, support staff training, help organise workloads, and contribute to quality improvement, governance and audits while maintaining professional development.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Radiographer.
• Qualified Mammographer holding a recognised British mammography qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in mammography.
• Experience in breast imaging (screening and symptomatic).
• Active engagement in CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe preparation, positioning and coordination of patients during advanced breast imaging interventions.
• Assist with procedural requirements in interventional breast care and maintain smooth workflow.
• Apply observational skills to support image acquisition decisions and diagnostic quality.
• Coordinate departmental activity and prioritise tasks within a dynamic clinical setting.
• Support integration of new practices and evolving service approaches in imaging.
