A leading engineering firm in the Preston area is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth operations and high production standards. The ideal candidate will have Level 3 qualifications in Engineering and Electrical disciplines, along with FMCG experience. The role involves maintaining equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. A proactive mindset and excellent communication skills are essential. Salary ranges from £47k to £49k per annum, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience within the FMCG sector is ideally required.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to develop skills and knowledge further.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to the Site manager with task and project allocation.
• Deliver both proactive and reactive engineering maintenance across the business.
• Tackle equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, maintenance, and PPMs.
