Job description
Lead Maintenance Engineer

Bolton

£48,000 + £6,250 shift premium

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems as they search for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of distribution automated systems.

Shift Pattern :

Monday to Friday, Weekly rotation; 06 : 00- 14 : 00 / 14 : 00-22 : 00

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
  • Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on packaging equipment, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
  • Mechanical maintenance tasks such as the strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts for example.
  • Electrically, you will be responsible for electrical testing using a multi-meter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to support identification of faults and work up to 480v.
  • Reporting Job details, breakdown information and follow up tasks in a CMMS system.
  • Budget understanding.
  • Direct relationship management the customer.
  • Appreciation of control systems (WCS, WMS, SCADA)
  • Appreciation of industrial field bus systems (e.g. ASi, Profibus)
Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Qualification at NVQ / BTEC / C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, high volume facility – automated warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG and packaging facilities would prove a good transfer.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory.
