This cloud support role will be instrumental in shaping the future at one of the world's largest and most influential companies — where your expertise drives real impact at scale.

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within Cloud Foundational Services, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job responsibilities
  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
  • Drive a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
  • Work with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
  • Execute creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
  • Strongly consider upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advise on mitigation actions
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and product supportability requirements

  • Demonstrate a high aptitude for both learning and teaching as product teams continually release new features and products
  • Provide follow-the-sun 24/7 on-call support through a distributed team spanning multiple time zones
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
  • Strong experience supporting and operating workloads within Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands‑on knowledge of core services such as compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and database technologies (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora) in a production environment
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and cloud platform certification(s)
  • Hands‑on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
  • Familiarity with working in a large distributed system across a range of technologies including compute, databases, messaging, observability, and telemetry
  • Knowledge of incident, change, and problem management processes and the controls that govern them
  • Understanding of data-driven decision making and a drive to continue developing technical and cross-functional knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Kubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Terraform certifications
  • Experience working in a follow-the-sun or globally distributed on‑call support model
  • Familiarity with large-scale cloud migration or modernization initiatives
