Job summary

Salience Labs Limited in the UK is seeking a leader to drive the development of III-V active components for integration with silicon photonics. You will take devices from epitaxial stack and device design through fabrication with external partners, to characterisation, reliability and qualification.

You will own the technology roadmap and device specifications, mentor engineers, manage fabrication runs with foundries, and lead test strategies across wafer, chip and PIC levels to close

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with extensive III-V device development experience.
• Experience taking III-V devices from concept to qualification.
• Deep understanding of laser physics and epitaxy processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and modelling of III-V active devices.
• Own the technology roadmap and device specifications.
• Lead mask design and tape-outs with GDS layouts.
• Manage fabrication runs with external epitaxy and foundry partners.
• Define and lead the characterisation strategy at wafer, chip and PIC levels.
• Analyse test data to drive design iterations.
• Collaborate with packaging and reliability engineers on burn-in and qualification.
• Mentor engineers and assist hiring.
