Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd is recruiting a Lead HV Design Engineer to join a major UK utility-focused business in Surrey with hybrid working (2–3 days in the office, in Surrey area). You will lead engineers, review and design complex HV networks up to 132kV and drive the grid connection projects.

Lead HV Design Engineer | Grid Connections

Surrey | Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

up to £80,000 + bonus

We’re hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest independent multi-utility businesses.

With 1.1m+ adopted utility connections, 26 years of trading, 2026 NAV of the Year recognition and continued growth across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure, this is a business with real momentum in the UK utilities market.

You’ll join a lean design team with genuine influence, leading engineers and reviewing and designing complex HV networks up to 132kV.
