Job summary

Tokamak Energy is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to shape and grow our manufacturing engineering function. You will drive development of HTS coil manufacturing and assembly processes, lead tooling and automation projects, and mentor a team of engineers.

In this role you will balance technical delivery with people leadership, work across design and production teams, and deliver scalable manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
• Experience implementing new processes, tooling or manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new HTS coil manufacturing and assembly processes focusing on design to manufacture.
• Drive tooling and automation projects to improve production efficiency.
• mentor and develop engineers within the team.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure scalable production.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve process capability.
• Analyse manufacturing performance and drive data-driven improvements.
• Support prioritisation and delivery across the manufacturing engineering function.
• Troubleshoot technical and process-related challenges.
