Responsibilities

• Lead Officer for the department, managing legal liability and defending the Authority.
• Undertake detailed specialist surveys, prepare contract specifications, and manage contractors.
• Investigate all Housing Disrepair claims and Personal Injury claims through detailed interviews.
• Monitor Housing Department claims/reports related to damp issues and report trends to Senior Management.
• Serve as the designated Expert Witness for court cases and prepare all relevant legal documents.
