Job summary

OnSite in Swindon is seeking an experienced HGV Jetting Rig Leader to supervise on-site operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery. You will lead operational crews, review plans, and manage vehicle and equipment compliance to uphold client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, health and safety focus, and the ability to work day and night shifts. A proactive communicator with commercial awareness will drive productivity and profitability on projects.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with CPC.
• Proven experience leading operational crews in a similar environment.
• Strong health & safety knowledge and leadership mindset.
• Ability to work flexibly, including days and nights.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver on-site operations safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Review job packs, risk assessments, and method statements prior to work.
• Ensure all vehicles, equipment, and PPE are compliant and fit for purpose.
• Drive and take responsibility for company HGV vehicles (Class 1 or Class 2).
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and lead toolbox talks on site.
• Supervise and allocate work to crews, driving productivity and quality.
• Maintain clear communication with Supervisors, teams, and customers.
• Complete all job documentation, checklists, and customer paperwork.
• Take ownership of on-site health & safety and report incidents promptly.
• Support, train, and mentor team members.
