Job summary

WSP Global Inc. Leeds is seeking an experienced heritage professional to lead archaeological fieldwork projects across the UK and Ireland. You will oversee planning, deliver bespoke strategies, and ensure robust health and safety RAMS while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will build strong client relationships, identify business development opportunities, and promote the team’s heritage services. The role is based in our Leeds office with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of archaeological fieldwork project management.
• Robust knowledge of Ireland archaeology and history and planning.
• Experience with heritage legislation and guidance in Ireland.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and budget within a consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork projects from planning and consent applications.
• Deliver bespoke archaeological strategies for developments and infrastructure.
• Monitor on-site work and RAMS with subcontractors.
• Prepare competitive tenders and define scope/methodology.
• Stakeholder, curator and client liaison.
