The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of HSE legislation. My client is a well-established, privately owned construction and infrastructure company in the UK. They provide a range of services, primarily focused on utilities (water, wastewater, energy, and telecoms), civil engineering, and traffic management.
They have an opportunity for a qualified Lead Health & Safety Advisor to join their team working in their Southern Water Contract.
My client are a company that will help you to inspire and help their busy operational teams execute their work consistently, using “best in class” health and safety practices. You’ll be left to decide how best to do this.
You’ll be supported and encouraged to naturally observe to understand the operational challenges your colleagues face on site. You’ll be looking for practical H&S solutions and helpful advice delivered in a style that motivates your audience.
You’ll be encourage you to create communications strategies which resonate and inspire from in-person conversations.

Experience leading a team of H&S Advisors, professional, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Originality as well as H&S expertise are all essential for success in this role. They will be looking for you to demonstrate an innovative approach to H&S problem solving, along with significant experience in a H&S advisory role, underpinned by a thorough understanding of current HSE legislation.
Holding or working towards a Level 6 H&S Diploma with the appropriate professional membership, IOSH / IIRSM or equivalent, is required.
Relevant industry experience would be highly advantageous.
