Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced groundwater and water environment EIA specialist to lead technically complex projects across the UK and internationally. You will apply hydrogeological expertise to groundwater assessment, modelling, and WFD studies, working with a national team of 350+.

The role offers flexible, hybrid working across multiple UK offices and progression to Principal or Senior levels. Successful candidates will have a degree in environmental/geographical/engineering disciplines,

Qualifications

Experience in groundwater and wider water EIA and related studies.
Experience supporting planning and permitting for major infrastructure projects, incl. DCO processes for Principal level.
Strong understanding of UK regulatory context for groundwater and EIA.
Ability to manage project budgets and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead groundwater and water environment inputs for EIA and major infrastructure planning.
Manage client relationships, project delivery, scope, budget and programme.
Review and assure technical outputs; final approval at Principal level.
Contribute to proposals and business development.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK.
