Job summary

Encore Musicians, recently acquired by Mixcloud, is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our small, full-stack team. You’ll be responsible for the entire Encore platform—from customer-facing web app to React Native mobile app, backend services and infrastructure.

You’ll own technical direction, mentor a fellow engineer, and help launch the USA platform while shaping a high-impact roadmap with business priorities. This role offers significant autonomy in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Lead-level ownership in a production software environment.
• Strong full-stack experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
• Experience with React for frontend and Node.js/Express for backend services.
• Comfort working across frontend and infrastructure/DevOps tasks and an autonomous contributor.

Responsibilities

• Transform Encore into a focused, intuitive self-serve platform for musicians and customers.
• Provide systems-level ownership and strategic guidance to the tech/product team.
• Mentor another full-stack engineer and maintain our tech infrastructure.
• Maintain platform reliability and fix critical bugs and high-priority requests promptly.
• Drive tech projects of strategic importance and manage tech debt/stack modernization.
