Job summary

Kinsworth is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to drive the technical design of our fintech platform. You will own React and Node-based features, build scalable cloud solutions, and champion AI-powered enhancements.

The role embraces a 'you build it, you run it' culture, with hybrid working from London. Strong communication and mentoring are essential to collaborate with product and design teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Strong React experience is essential.
• React Native experience strongly preferred.
• Experience building mobile apps and banking-grade cloud solutions.
• Experience with AI technology to enhance product features.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture decisions for the consumer experience.
• Ensure high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems.
• Coach and mentor the engineering team and foster technical ownership.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers and leadership on the roadmap.
• Contribute to security governance and best practices.
• Drive AI-enabled enhancements across product features.

• Zero-to-one function building — creating product delivery frameworks, engineering performance systems, and product delivery processes from the ground up

• Building and leveraging AI technology to enhance product features and development workflows

We build with technology like:

• React, React Native, TypeScript & JavaScript, Next.js, Node, HTML, CSS

• GraphQL-based APIs - we use Apollo on the client side

• Cloud deployments - Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub

• Observability - Sentry

• AI/ML tools and frameworks (e.g., LLMs, generative AI)

• Leading the technical design and development of the consumer experience for Kinsworth

• Ensuring high-performance, scalable, available, fault-tolerant systems are built and maintained

• Directly managing, coaching and mentoring the team of Engineers, developing talent and fostering a culture of technical ownership, collaboration and quality

• Defining and executing the technical strategy and architecture decisions

• Partnering with Product Managers, Designers and leadership to refine and execute the product domain’s roadmap

• Contributing as a core member of the technology leadership team covering information security and governance to establish standards, protocols and mechanisms for secure, reliable solutions

• Driving the use of AI technology to enhance our product features and development workflows, and building with AI capabilities.

• In a “you build it, you run it” model, ensuring that continual delivery is executed, technical risks and dependencies are managed and ensure the team adopts DevOps practices
