Job summary

BNY is seeking an Engineer/Architect to join the Loans enablement Platform team in London or Manchester. The role entails architecture design, mentoring junior developers, and deploying engineering solutions, utilizing modern development practices and AI tooling. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and significant software development experience are required, alongside proficiency in Java, SQL, REST APIs, and cloud services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Significant experience in software development with a strong background in full‑stack development.
• Proficiency in Java, SQL, REST APIs, and Streaming APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and review across multiple pods.
• Mentor junior developers on software design and programming practices.
• Develop rapid, working prototype code for engineering teams.
• Directly participate in building and deploying engineering solutions.
• Promote modern development practices such as reactive programming.
