A leading NHS mental health provider in London is seeking a Senior Nursing Leader to develop and oversee the Service Quality Review Programme. You will ensure quality of care across all services and engage with patients and staff for effective improvement initiatives. The postholder will lead the development, delivery, and ongoing improvement of the Trust-wide Service Quality Review (SQR) Programme, ensuring that care delivery across all services is safe, effective, compassionate, responsive, and well-led.
This role provides visible senior nursing leadership, contributing to the Trust assurance framework, monitoring of regulatory compliance, and identification of areas for continuous quality improvement.
The postholder will contribute directly to the Trust’s assurance and governance framework, strengthening oversight and embedding a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The postholder will work closely with the Chief Nurse, Deputy Chief Nurses, the Trust Quality Team and senior leadership teams, to design, embed, and sustain a comprehensive Service Quality Review framework including co produce visits with external agencies and service users.
The postholder will have the leadership skills and clinical credibility to influence across professional and organisational boundaries, using insight and data to drive meaningful improvement. They will also inspire others through visible leadership, collaboration, and a deep commitment to safe, person-centred, and equitable care.
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK as well as substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. We work closely with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London and are part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. There are very few organisations in the world that have such wide-ranging capabilities working with mental illness. Our scope is unique because it is built on three major foundations: care and treatment, science and research, and training.
We provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; as well as substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
