Job summary

MEC Consulting Group is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Flood Risk and Drainage discipline across the UK. The role involves strategic leadership, project delivery, and business development with a strong focus on mentoring teams and expanding client relationships.

The successful candidate will be based in London or Birmingham, with responsibility for technical excellence, financial performance, and cross-office collaboration within MEC’s multidisciplinary business.

Qualifications

• A minimum qualification of a degree.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects including overseeing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geo-Environmental discipline across MEC, combining technical, commercial and operational performance.
• Manage projects across multiple offices and disciplines with senior oversight.
• Attend client meetings and oversee fee proposals, budgeting and invoicing.
• Mentor and supervise Flood Risk technicians and engineers.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality and time budgets and adhere to health and safety standards.
