Job summary

NexHire Ltd is seeking Senior/Principal Fire Engineers in the UK to lead fire engineering projects from brief to delivery, working with clients, design teams and stakeholders.

You'll develop and review fire strategies and assessments, advise on fire safety options, manage scope and deadlines, and mentor junior engineers. Principal level adds greater oversight and client leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire engineering consultancy delivering projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance.
• Ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients and project teams.
• A relevant engineering qualification is required.
• Chartered status is welcomed but not mandatory.
• Principal level requires experience leading projects, reviewing technical work and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire engineering projects from brief through design and delivery.
• Develop and review fire strategies, technical reports and assessments.
• Advise clients and design teams on fire safety requirements and options.
• Manage project scope, deadlines and delivery quality.
• Attend design meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• At Principal level, take greater responsibility for technical oversight and client relationships.
