Job summary

New Hall School is seeking a Lead Examination Invigilator (casual) to supervise assessments, set up venues and support a calm, secure examination environment.

You will lead a team of invigilators, adhere to JCQ procedures, and help ensure fair access for all students while safeguarding and providing pastoral support as required. The role also involves compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Invigilation experience in a school or similar educational setting.
• Experience working in a school environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, discretion and attention to detail.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of invigilators within an examination venue and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Manage examination venues, including set-up and directing candidates to seats.
• Familiarity with JCQ Instructions for Conducting Examinations and compliance with rules.
• Collect and secure scripts and ensure proper handling of examination materials.
• Support a calm, safe and positive environment for students and staff.
