Job summary

Network Plus seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating lifecycle for large, complex capital schemes across water, gas, electricity and civils. You will own tender submissions from enquiry through to award and present strategies to Directors.

You will mentor the estimating team, coordinate with clients and supply chain, and ensure accurate cost plans, risk registers and compliant bids that protect margin and maximise value for the business.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading and winning large tenders in a competitive environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Substantial estimating experience in utilities or civil engineering, including large capital schemes.
• Experience leading tender adjudication and presenting bids to senior stakeholders.
• First-principles estimating: take-offs, quantities and cost build-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating lifecycle for large capital schemes across water, gas, electricity and civils—from enquiry to tender adjudication, award and handover.
• Present cost, margin, risk and commercial strategy to Directors and senior management for sign-off.
• Survey potential work sites and produce detailed take-offs, BOQs and detailed cost estimates.
• Develop procurement strategy and lead supplier evaluations to secure best prices.
