Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to join its Sustainable Land and Resource Management Practice. Based anywhere in the UK with hybrid working, you will lead the delivery of material management and waste reports and oversee ground investigations for major infrastructure projects.

You will provide technical guidance, develop proposals, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or science related to environmental work.
Chartered membership with a relevant professional body is desirable.
Post-graduate experience in material management, earthworks and waste on development sites.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of reports: MMPs, verification reports, waste permits and ground investigations.
Develop proposals and bids for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
Design and organise ground investigations to support material and waste assessments.
Manage MMPs/waste permits implementation and verification, including client sites.
Audit contractors for compliance with waste legislation and permits.
Liaise with clients, regulators and internal teams to secure repeat business.
Maintain Health and Safety plans and ensure field work compliance.
