Job summary

Groundforce is seeking a Senior or Principal Engineer to lead the core shoring team, delivering and checking high-quality temporary works designs for UK and Ireland clients. The role requires experience in Cat3 schemes and a proactive approach to technical leadership and collaboration with sales teams.

You will mentor Graduate and Design Engineers, ensure compliance with current regulations, and drive improvements in design production while maintaining strong client liaison.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience with design of temporary works in accordance to relevant standards.
• Desire to drive continuous improvements and enhance design quality and efficiency.
• Ability to organise own time and manage others effectively.
• Willingness to contribute to the technical team collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the engineering teams in the core shoring group.
• Produce high-quality design solutions that comply with current regulations and best practices.
• Design highly complex schemes (Cat3) and check moderately complex schemes (Cat2).
• Provide supervision, training and mentoring to Graduate and Design Engineers.
• Be a key technical contact for the sales team and clients.
