Job summary

NewDay Technology Limited seeks a Lead Engineer for the developer experience team to guide a small, skilled group of engineers. You will design and improve developer tooling, platforms and delivery practices to help technology teams move faster and with confidence.

You will provide technical leadership, coaching and hands-on contribution, shaping standards and automation strategies across the platform. A passion for enabling developers and delivering reliable software is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building apps, tools or platforms with .Net, TypeScript, Node.js and modern JavaScript.
• Ability to develop developer-focused tooling that boosts productivity and quality.
• Passion for delivering exceptional developer experiences with automation and self-service tooling.
• Knowledge of testing practices that support reliable software engineering.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD and modern Agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a small team of engineers, fostering learning and continuous improvement.
• Design, build and enhance developer tooling across NewDay.
• Shape platform engineering standards and automation approaches.
• Collaborate with teams to remove obstacles for faster, safer software delivery.
• Provide technical guidance for complex platform and developer experience challenges.
